Career Checklists
Maintaining a good web presence is KEY!
- Google™ Yourself – scroll through what you see and MAKE SURE it is appropriate!
- Does your Facebook™ page project you as a good potential employee? – check for controversial subjects, questionable photos, and rude/obscene language. Go as far back on your page as possible, the recruiters definitely will!
- There is nothing wrong with multiple accounts! – set up LinkedIn™ for professional use and keep your Facebook™ private (just make sure to use the correct restrictions!)
- Be secure! Always ensure that no one else has access to your accounts
- Protect your identity. Don’t reveal key information such as addresses, phone numbers, and full birthdates.
- Don’t post negative info on other people’s sites! If you have done so in the past, see if they can be removed.
- Just remember, the internet lasts forever.
Dont forget your attire either!
